  • Guest Speaker: Eric Proctor, Workday Project Communication Lead, provided updates on the project, the go-live date (July 2!), and available training. Please catch his presentation here.
    • Workday is officially in the testing phase preparing for a July 2 launch
    • Workday provides data visibility, offers mobile-optimization, and replaces multiple systems into one fluid Workday system
    • Annual Benefits Enrollment will take place via Workday in the Fall
    • Areas that will be affected: payroll (Novatime), Procurement (Deacon Depot), Human Capital Management (Banner, WF@Work, Silkroad/RedCarpet), Expenses (Works)
    • Workday will replace the current WIN system and update your personal information instantaneously
    • Learning Opportunities
      • May 7 On-Demand Learning (online classes)
      • May 14 Face-to-Face Classes (heavy rotation offered in convenient locations)
      • July 2 Open Labs (walk-in opportunities during launch week—these will remain open through the Fall)

  • Standing Committee Report-outs:  
    • Communications: working strategically with Events Committee to advertise the Picnic in the brochure. We are also going advertise the event on the TV screens across campus.
    • Events: June 7th Staff Picnic at the Pit—stay tuned for more information! Collecting nonperishable foods with Second Harvest Foodbank during the Picnic.

    • Membership: Elections will restart today for the departments that did not have personal statements. Voting is open until Friday, April 20 at 5PM. We will have an Orientation in May for all new members.
    • Pro Humanitate: Assisting with the food drive at Staff Picnic. We are also starting a partnership with Forsyth Humane Society to collect pet food for families that are in need. Also looking to do a volunteer day with the Humane Society.

    • Parking & Transportation: Continuing to look at Scofflaw issues (regarding habitual parking violators) and reassessing policies.

    • Campus Rec Advisory Board: All-Sport Camp is back this summer and there is  a discount for Staff children (https://campusrec.wfu.edu/services/day-camps/ ). The Aquatics Manager is still looking for lifeguards. Family members can join Reynolds Gym for $30/month or can do a day-pass for $5. Cycling room now has a virtual option so you can take classes without an instructor present. Volleyball team is back in Varsity Court—come out and support them this Fall!
