Melissa joined the PDC team in January, 2011, was named Director in July, 2015, and now provides leadership to the Campus Engagement and Professional Development teams. Her expertise includes coaching and coach training, leading retreats, facilitating dialogue, and providing workshops.

Richella is a long-time resident of Winston-Salem and has a daughter, a son, and a grandson. She is an inspiring entrepreneur, writer, avid reader & unshakable optimist and dedicated to inspiring others to excellence. After earning her degree in Office Systems Technology, she entered the Office Administrative world to explore her passion for assisting the business world with organization, clerical, and managerial needs.

Richella has been employed in the School of Business since August 2019. She is currently serving as the Service Desk Specialist in the Student Engagement Suite in Farrell Hall. Since being at the School of Business, she has been honored to receive 2022 WFU’s Thrive “Social” Dimension Champion Award and recently received the Community Police Academy Certificate. Each opportunity has provided her with the chance to learn about the WFU community.

In addition to her primary job functions, Richella is recognized by students, family, and friends for her extraordinary commitment to caring for others. When she is not keeping busy with serving others, you can find her working on crafts.

Shandra is currently the Service Desk Specialist in the Student Engagement Suite for the School of Business in Farrell Hall. She is also a mom to two wonderful children and loves to paint, sing, travel and most of all cook.

In her position, she is student facing at all times and help with any questions they may have, along with supporting the faculty and staff. She assists teams such as Undergraduate, Enrollment Management, Integrative Student Services, Recruiting, and Market Readiness and Employment. She’s had the privilege of working with many different cultures, and diversity within the school which makes her position exciting.

Shandra puts together the weekly Student Newsletter and Monthly newsletter for the Student Engagement Suite. She has been the United Way Champion within the school for two years.

David joined the School of Business in April of 2018 and now serves as the Associate Registrar. Originally from Charlotte, NC, David earned a BS Kinesiology and MS Sport Management from Liberty University and is currently pursuing his doctorate through Appalachian State University. Prior to joining WFU, David worked in development and enrollment management within the higher education space as well as a brief stint in collegiate and professional athletics. He resides in Winston-Salem with his wife who is a kindergarten teacher at a local elementary school. When not at work, you can find him biking, attending a sporting event, writing for a sports media outlet, researching/collecting watches, or planning his next trip somewhere.

Brittany currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Career and Professional Development department in the School of Law.  Previously, she worked with Student Athlete Services within the Athletic Department where she worked with all sports teams, responsible for pre-enrollment (NCAA initial eligibility, Admissions, and ISSS) as well as transfer credit processes and additional ongoing eligibility requirements. Additionally, she created an Athletes in Law organization for student-athletes interested in learning about the law school application process, life during law school, and careers after receiving a J.D.

Prior to Wake Forest, Brittany worked at the NCAA as their Postgraduate Intern in the Eligibility Center.  She graduated from Elon University in 2016 with a B.S. in Sport Management and minors in Business Administration and Psychology and then went on to receive her J.D. from Villanova University in 2020. Briana currently lives downtown in Winston with her pup, Petey.

Cherie joined the School of Business in 2017 and currently serves as the Associate Director for the MS in Business Analytics program in the Integrative Student Services domain. She is a success partner for all her students and oversees marquee components throughout the year from orientation to graduation.

Cherie received a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs and is passionate about growth in cross-cultural competency and DEI practices.  Cherie moved to the United States in 2010 and has lived in Wisconsin, Ohio, and now calls North Carolina home. In her spare time, Cherie enjoys cooking, traveling, and bringing people together.

Patrick joined the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in 2013 where he has served in both student facing and administrative roles. He is currently the Associate Director of Student Services Technology where he is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Graduate School’s student service programs and systems. He also represents the Graduate School in a number of capacities across the WFU community through his committee work and participation in collaborative projects.

Patrick received a master’s degree in European History from Boston College and remains interested in the intersection of cultures and how history continues to inform the present. Before coming to Wake he was a business owner, first in Mexico City and then in Greensboro. He enjoys reading and traveling and is an avid cook. When time permits he also teaches in the Lifelong Learning Program, including a course on Mexican history and culture and a hands-on cooking class in Mexican cuisine.

Araceli “Sally” Perez-Ramos has worked within Career Services for the past 15 years overseeing programming initiatives and advising undergraduate and graduate students, internship programming, and marketing and communications outreach.  Sally currently works at Wake Forest University School of Business within the Market Readiness and Employment department as an Associate Director & Career Coach advising students within the Master of Science in Business Analytics program.

She has served as a past president of the Texas Cooperative Education & Internship Association, former Chair of the Technology and Small Colleges and Universities Knowledge Groups, and the Conference Marketing Committee for the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers. Previously, Sally has worked at The University of Texas-Pan American and St. Edward’s University.

Sally earned her Master’s in College Student Development from St. Edward’s University and her undergraduate in Political Science at the University of Texas-Pan American.   She is originally from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas and relocated in 2019 to Winston-Salem, NC, with her husband and two cats.

Adam joined Information Systems in 2014 and is currently the Technical Lead and Systems & HPC Architect on the High Performance Computing Team. During his time at Wake Forest, he has balanced behind the scenes work deploying innovative solutions to support Wake’s core IT infrastructure, while also directly supporting faculty and student research via guest lectures, presentations, troubleshooting, and teaching CSC191 Intro to HPC. Adam is also a huge advocate for childcare and wellness in the workplace. In his personal life, Adam can often be found exercising outdoors, remodeling homes, coaching Volleyball, and enjoying life with his wife, Elizabeth, while raising their three young children.

Krista is a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with nearly 20 years of dedicated service at Wake Forest University.  She earned her degree at ECPI College of Technology in Information Systems/Network Administration. She has contributed to various roles in Information Systems and has been on the Windows Team for the last 13 years. With a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, she has led initiatives to reduce the team’s carbon footprint in the datacenter. Recognizing the potential of cloud computing, she worked to receive her AWS Solutions Architect Certification as well as the AWS SysOps Certification.  She co-led the effort to migrate the department’s Windows servers to Amazon Web Services (AWS).  This move has not only improved scalability and efficiency but also significantly decreased energy consumption, in alignment with the company’s Information Systems (IS) strategic initiative.

In addition to her professional life, her personal life is filled with faith, love, and joy.  She is happily married to her husband, Brandon, and together they have a wonderful son named Ezra. Family is incredibly important to her, and she enjoys the time she spends with them, creating lasting memories and sharing special moments.  Her faith also plays a vital role in her life. She is an active member of her local church, where she finds solace, guidance, and a supportive community.  Overall, she is grateful for life’s blessings and strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Sabrina Mack works in I.S on the Academic Technology team as the Learning Platforms Manager. She joined Wake Forest in 2022. She earned her B.A in Applied Science with a concentration in Communications from Winston Salem State University. She also earned her Master’s in Adult Education from North Carolina A&T State University. She is currently working towards the completion of her Ph.D. in Educational Studies with a concentration in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In her role at Wake Forest, she works with Faculty, Staff and Students to ensure that they are well versed in using various academic technologies provided by Wake Forest such as Canvas, Kaltura, VoiceThread and Poll Everywhere. This involves consulting with faculty on how they can integrate technology in their courses to enhance the learning experience.

In her personal life, Sabrina is the mother of two amazing children, Rashidi Jr (RJ) and Madison. You can often find Sabrina at a hockey rink being that her son is the goalie in a hockey league. When she has free time, she loves spending time with her family and going to her favorite places, beautiful beaches and amusement parks.

Ansley has served as the Director of Employment Solutions on the Human Resources team since 2022. In her role, Ansley provides leadership and strategic guidance to a team of talented and dedicated HR professionals, who in turn serve the campus community at all stages of the employment life cycle, including faculty, staff and student employees. Prior to her position at Wake Forest, Ansley spent nearly ten years in the private business sector gaining valuable HR skills including experience in talent acquisition, employee onboarding and engagement, and employee relations and workplace investigations. Ansley is a proud Demon Deacon alumna, having earned a BA in Spanish in 2014. Outside of work, Ansley enjoys spending time with her spouse and two young children, reading (especially suspenseful fiction novels!), and, when the weather is 75 degrees and sunny, being outside for a nice long walk.

After graduating from the Wake Forest School of Business with her Master’s in Management in 2020, Marisa joined the Office of Student Financial Aid. She currently works with undergraduate, graduate, and Divinity School students. A Winston Salem native, Marisa was happy to return to her hometown after earning her Bachelor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

While she was a student at Wake Forest, Marisa served on the Student Executive Council. She is excited to translate that experience towards being a member of the Staff Advisory Council.

In her free time, Marisa enjoys quality time with her husband, Jacob, and their two dogs, Nico and Oakley. She also enjoys cooking, leisurely walks, and curling up with a good book.

Allison joined Wake Forest in 2014 starting in Financial Services before moving to Advancement. She currently works as the Business Manager supporting the Communications and External Relations team. When not chauffeuring her two children, she enjoys working as a fitness instructor, lifting weights, or surviving a good run.

Sandy joined the Wake Forest community in 2010 working as the Senior Business Manager in University Advancement. She relocated to this area in 2004 from the Washington, DC metro area where most of her career was as a Senior Accountant for Marriott Corporate Headquarters. She earned her BS in Business Management in 2009.

Sandy is married to Steve and together they have 6 children and 14 grandchildren. Sandy and Steve are both avid road bikers and spend their weekends with their cycling friends, at car shows with the
Triumph TR6 car club, golfing, or with the many grandchildren and their events.

In his 19th season at Wake Forest in 2022-23, David Bass currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance.  Bass provides oversight to the Sports Performance and Sports Nutrition departments, developing and implementing the unit’s objectives to coincide with the Athletic Department’s vision of Developing Champions.  At Wake Forest, he works directly with men’s golf, men’s soccer, men’s cross country/middle distance, and Track and Field throwers. In addition, he has previously worked with baseball, football, women’s basketball, women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, and men’s and women’s track and field.  Bass is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and holds the credential of MSCC (Master Strength and Conditioning Coach). He also holds certifications from the NSCA, Titleist Performance Institute, FMS, RPR, and USAW.

Bass joined the Demon Deacons from James Madison University, where he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach for two years from 2002-04.  While at James Madison, Bass earned his Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology in 2004.  A native of Ridgeway, Va., Bass received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical and Health Education from Concord University in 2001. While at Concord, Bass was a three-year starter on the Mountain Lion offensive line, earning all-conference honors during his junior and senior seasons.

Bass and his wife, Janie, currently reside in Winston-Salem with their daughter Lillyan and son Thomas.

Briana joined Student-Athlete Services within the Athletic Department in June 2018. She works directly with the football program, in which she is responsible for monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes and helping them to fulfill their undergraduate academic requirements and NCAA eligibility. Additionally, she assists with coordinating study halls, tutors and aids in the development of time management skills for student-athletes.

She has previously served as Assistant Director of Enrollment Management at the Wake Forest University School of Business. And also, as the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator for the Wake Forest football program.

She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2015 with a B.A. in English and minor in Spanish. Briana currently resides in Clemmons, which is also her hometown. She brings three different perspectives as a local, alumna and staff member that will contribute to the advancement of the advisory council’s mission and responsibilities. Not to mention an extensive black and gold wardrobe with immense Deacon pride to boot. Go Deacs!

Dwight joined the Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) in 2022. He has worked in the Athletics Department since 2000. Dwight currently works with student athletes on personal development, academic development, career development and mentoring. He also sits on several campus and local committees/boards: Police Advisory committee, Campus partners; as well as community boards: Samaritan Ministries, Guiding Institute for Developmental Education. (G.I.D.E.), Entrepreneurial Advisory Committee with the Greater Winston-Salem Inc.

Bridget joined the Wake Forest University Athletics staff as an assistant athletic trainer for the women’s soccer team in August of 2020.  In her position she is responsible for the physical, mental, and emotional health of all the women’s soccer athletes.  This includes coordinating care throughout the fall season and into the spring off season.  She is also a member of the athletics EAT team where she coordinates care for all the athletes with active eating disorders.  Even though the fall season can be extremely busy with travel and practices, Bridget loves making lasting relationships with her athletes and helping them throughout all aspects of life.

Bridget is a Nashville, Tennessee native; graduated from High Point University in 2017 with a Bachelors in Exercises Science with a concentration in Health and Wellness.  She then continued her education at HPU and graduated with a Masters in Athletic Training in 2019.  She currently resides in downtown Winston Salem with her dog Woodie and cat Ollie.

Stephanie joined the Wake Forest Community in February, 2017 as the Director of Residence Life. Previous to Wake she served as the Associate Director of Residence Life at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. In her role as Director, she functionally supervises the people, programs and some key campus partnerships under the Residence Life umbrella. More specifically, the functional areas include: Residential Learning, Leadership & Programming, Residential Academic Initiatives and Residential Conduct. This unit works daily to live out the mission of RL&H and fulfill the Res Life team vision of creating an unrivaled residential experience on campus!

Stephanie holds a B. A. in English/Creative Writing from the Florida State University, a Master’s Degree in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University. Stephanie is also the proud mom of a soon to be 10-year-old little boy named Christian and the dog mom to Scottie. All in all, she does her best to juggle mom duties with professional duties and in whatever free time she has left you will find her either doing Crossfit (and burpees for fun, daily…I know who does that?!?) or running on campus.

Betsy Chapman (she/her) is the Executive Director of Family Communications and in Spring 2024 was a Part-Time Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication. She has primary responsibility for communicating with Wake Forest undergraduate parents and families. She is the author of the Daily Deac blog, which covers Wake Forest activities, news, and college-parenting advice, and helps give families a glimpse of campus life each weekday. She has a primary editorial role with the WFU Should Know weekly student e-newsletter, and also works with institutional and crisis communications. Betsy has been at Wake Forest for almost 25 years and holds a doctorate in Higher Education; her research focused on parent and family interactions with the college related to readership of blogs and other institutional communications.

Ashley joined the Office of Wellbeing as Wellbeing Program Manager in 2018 to create ResilientWake, manage Move More! Move Often! and WellSpaces and to serve as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion liaison. Ashley loves creating time and opportunity for Demon Deacons to thrive through Wellbeing Coaching, teaching Koru Mindfulness, and collaborating on wellbeing initiatives.

Ashley is a Wake Forest University alumna with a Master’s in General Psychology and worked in the Psychology Department for 4 years in research around personality, character, and post-traumatic growth. Prior to employment at Wake, Ashley worked at Duke University at the Interdisciplinary Behavioral Research Center and Center for Child and Family Policy.

When she isn’t working, Ashley loves time with her family, fur-babies included, socially distant dinners on the porch with friends, long Zoom catch ups, gardening, and strength training.

Jim joined Wake Forest in September 2019 as the Interim Associate Dean of Students. Following a year of working as Interim and a national search, Jim was selected for the Associate Dean position. Previous to working at Wake Forest, Jim served as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at UNC-Greensboro for 8 years, as Vice President for Student Affairs at Shawnee State University, and in earlier roles supervising residence life, housing, auxiliary services, career counseling, and a variety of other student affairs areas.

Jim earned a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in higher education administration. His research focused on factors associated with keeping college students in college, particularly first-year and first-generation students at 2-year and 4-year colleges. Jim has a research interest (and experience!) with “helicopter parents,” parent councils, and parents of residential students. Jim’s Master’s degree in College Student Personnel is from Bowling Green State University. His undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry are from Pittsburg State University.

Jim enjoys spending time with his family, including being outside with this black Labrador retriever, Jake (who never tires of swimming and chasing his kong), cooking, and working in the yard.

Marian Trattner (she/her/hers) serves as the Assistant Director of Wellbeing, in the Office of Wellbeing in the Division of Campus Life. Marian provides strategic leadership for the health education portfolio which includes peer education initiatives, Sleepin’ Deacon, sexual health, and body image. Marian brings 15 years of experience working in health promotion to Wake Forest. She currently serves as the Instructor of Record for CNS:253 Peer Education. Prior to coming to Wake Forest, Marian served as the inaugural Bystander Intervention Specialist for the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin). In this role, she managed their campus wide multi-issue bystander intervention initiative called BeVocal. Prior to that role, she served as the inaugural Suicide Prevention Coordinator for UT Austin where she worked with campus stakeholders and students to create the Be That One Suicide Prevention Program. During this time she also served as the adviser to the Mental Health Promotion Peer Education at UT Austin. Marian is passionate about empowering students to thrive.

Tina Deloglos joined Wake Forest University in July 2019 and serves as the Office Administrator for Global Wake Forest. She earned her Bachelor’s of Education from National Louis University and loves working in higher education supporting global opportunities and education for students, faculty, and staff.

A Michigan native, Tina has lived in seven states and now resides with her husband, Matt, in Kernersville. She and Matt have three grown children who all live in North Carolina. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with family.

Susan has worked in the WFU Registrar’s Office for 15 years with job responsibilities changing many times. Since 2012, Susan has been responsible for certifying the eligibility of athletes to practice and compete, finding her JD degree to be relevant to her job. She would like to see all WFU employees be treated fairly and be given equal opportunity to advance. Susan has four adult children and five grandsons.

Ashley Graham Phipps serves as Associate Director, Data Analytics within the Employer Relations team at Wake Forest University.  In this role, she manages technology and data for the WFU College to Career team.  She oversees the relationship and interface between the WFU campus and Handshake, the career opportunity management platform.  She is also a part of a university-wide initiative on data analytics and visualization.  In her previous roles with the Employer Relations team, she administered the Wake Forest University Kirby Fund to increase access for all students to career opportunities and equity.  She also oversaw the Career Treks from application to travel logistics to thank-you notes from students.

A Double Deacon, Ashley has her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Management degrees from Wake Forest University. She returned to WFU in 2014 to work on the Employer Relations Team.

A native of North Carolina, Ashley is married to a fellow WFU alumnus.  They reside in Winston-Salem with their 1 year old daughter and 2 dogs.  Aside from spending time with her family, Ashley enjoys gardening and working in her yard.

Jenna first joined the university in May 2012, providing administrative support to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Planning in the Office of the Dean of the College. She and her husband moved to the Washington, DC area in January 2015 following his graduation from Wake Forest Law. Jenna then worked in faculty recruitment for George Washington University and in talent acquisition for a non-profit in Arlington, VA. She found her way back to Wake Forest in May 2018 where she is the Program Coordinator for Wake Washington, based at the Wake Washington Center in DC. Jenna manages the overall operations of the Wake Washington Program and Center: from managing the program budget, to planning events, to coordinating student housing, and supporting resident faculty. She serves on the steering committee for the Washington Program Consortium, an organization composed of schools with similar DC study away programs. Jenna also draws from her prior recruiting experience to assist students with resumes, cover letters, interview tips, and general career advice.

Jenna was born and raised in South Mills, NC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public History from Meredith College and a master’s degree in US History from UNC-Greensboro. She currently resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband Ryan (JD ’14), daughter Piper, and goldendoodle Kermit. When not at work, Jenna enjoys gardening, attempting DIY projects around the house, visiting the many museums and historic sites in the area, and all things craft beer.
