Staff Appreciation Picnic: Updated Parking & Transportation Info

We hope you are planning to join us for the Staff Appreciation Picnic this Friday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the McCreary Tower of Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium (4th floor).

There are some updated instructions about shuttles, traffic, and parking that we want to share with you.

We strongly encourage all staff to take the free shuttles to the Staff Appreciation Picnic vs. driving there yourself. Winston-Salem State University’s graduation ceremony will be taking place at the LJVM Coliseum, which will impact parking.

Free shuttles will take staff from Lot P on the Reynolda Campus (not the shuttle hub) to and from the picnic. If you are at Wake Downtown, pickup and drop off will be in front of Innovation Quarter. Shuttle hours are 10:45 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you choose to drive to the Staff Appreciation Picnic, you will be directed to park in the Gold parking lot; staff with an ADA parking pass will still be able to park in the McCreary Tower Lot. See this updated parking map.

We expect the WSSU Commencement to conclude between 11:15-11:30 a.m. Traffic is likely to be heavy from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
