  • WFU contracted with WFD Consulting – an independent work-life management firm to design and administer a confidential child care needs assessment survey and conduct focus group sessions (approx. 15 people)
    • Survey: Oct. 16 – Nov. 6
      • ALL are encouraged to participate
    • Focus Groups: Nov. 12-14, one-hour session, sign up at PDC

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Communications – Met and assigned newsletter dates and meeting minutes.

Events – Had one meeting to review survey results of last year’s picnic.  Next meeting will take place next week to further discuss ideas for the staff/faculty picnic.

Fringe Benefits – Met to discuss goals of this upcoming year. 

Membership – No updates. 

Pro Humanitate – Continuing the monthly meal at the Ronald McDonald House (3rd Thursday of every month at 3:00pm).  Exploring the opportunity to partner a drive during Christmas time. Project Pumpkin, Oct. 30, SAC will have a booth and a sign-up sheet will be sent out for members to participate.

Capital Planning Advisory – Discussion of projects completed during the summer.  Details about the next academic building and how traffic will be impacted during this time.  Conversation about renovation of Wingate.

Tree Advisory – Big Oak tree being taken down by the Law School. 

Council on Inclusion and Diversity –  Queer History Month.
